Influencer and author Ashley St. Clair has publicly accused tech billionaire Elon Musk of significantly reducing child support payments for their six-month-old son, alleging that Musk’s actions are intended to “maintain control and punish” her.
The argument became public when Ashley St. Clair sold her $100,000 Tesla Model S to make up for what she calls Musk’s 60% cut in child support. She said, “I need to make up for the 60 percent cut that Elon made to our son’s child support.”

In reaction, Musk, 53, said he wasn’t sure who the child’s father was but admitted to giving money to the family. “I don’t know if the child is mine, but I’m not against finding out,” he said. There is no need for a court order. Musk also said that he gave St. Clair $2.5 million and still sends her $500,000 yearly. Ashley St. Clair, who is 26 years old, disagreed with Musk and said that he had earlier refused to take a DNA test.
She remarked, “Elon, we asked you to confirm paternity through a test before our child (who you named) was even born. You refused.” She also accused Musk of using financial support as a means of control, stating, “You weren’t sending me money, you were sending support for your child that you thought was necessary… until you withdrew most of it to maintain control and punish me for disobedience.”

The fight turned into legal action when Ashley St. Clair asked for sole custody in February. Her lawyers say that Musk cut off her financial support significantly and without warning after she filed for legal action. They also say that Musk tried to get an emergency gag order against Ashley St. Clair from talking about the case in public, but the judge denied it. This very public dispute is still going on, bringing a lot of attention to the personal and legal problems between Ashley St. Clair and Elon Musk.
