Cuban-American actor William Levy, 44, was arrested on the night of April 14, 2025, in Weston, Florida, following an incident at Baires Grill. Authorities charged him with disorderly intoxication in a public place and trespassing after warning.

Reports state that William Levy caused a commotion inside the restaurant by being drunk. The situation grew more out of control when he refused to pay a hefty bill for beverages more than a hundred patrons had ordered. Levy pushed someone attempting to arbitrate the dispute when asked to leave.

Following his removal, he tried to re-enter the premises to retrieve his phone and was arrested by the Broward Sheriff’s Office. Having paid a $500 bail, he was placed into the Broward County Main Jail in Fort Lauderdale and released the next morning.

Levy’s separation from his long-time partner, actress Elizabeth Gutiérrez, occurred a year before this arrest. Having two children together, the couple had spent more than twenty years together. Several domestic situations have defined their relationship, most notably one involving their daughter Kailey in March 2024. Following Kailey’s reporting of an unidentified lady in her father’s bedroom, police were sent to their house, and a confrontation between William Levy and Gutiérrez resulted.

William Levy is most well-known for his performances in American films such as “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter” and ” Tyler Perry’s The Single Moms Club,” as well as telenovelas including “Sortilegio” and “La Tempestad.” After competing in the 14th season of “Dancing with the Stars,” where he placed third, he also became well-known in the United States.

William Levy has not publicly expressed opinions on the arrest as yet. Regarding the occurrence, his legal team has not yet made public a remark.
